In an area of 10 acres, ArtsPark at Young Circle in Hollywood presents a spectacular fountain feature found in an attractive garden well covered with healthy grass and plants. Well-paved promenades for children to play and people to jog around surround the area. Spend your day and enjoy all sorts of festivities and cultural events that take place at the park throughout the year. The park is located in a circular area between US1 and Hollywood Boulevard towards the center of Hollywood in Florida.
The park, started in March 2007, was founded to offer residents and visitors a wide range of performing and visual arts designed to reflect recreational, educational and entertainment activities from celebrities like Mariah Carey, Jimmy Fallon and many others. Funds raised by the City of Hollywood with the help from Broward County through its county commission board using proceeds from County Safe Parks and those from Land Preservations Bond Issue were used to redevelop the park.
ArtsPark boasts a 9,750 square foot of outdoor theater with a seating capacity of 2,500 persons and an additional public outdoor square from where you can view events at the concert venue. The venue is equipped with complete sound and lighting systems, dressing rooms and loading docks.
You can take a walk and view the Millennium Springs, a spectacular water feature a sculpture that depicts the life energy of a baobab tree created by artist Ritsuko Taho. The Splash Pad and the children’s play equipment at the playground is the greatest attraction for children to burn off lots of energy. There are many child-friendly events held at Arts Park throughout the year including Funtastic Fridays, foodtrucks, and concert series. Take the kids over to the butterfly sculpture done by Romero Britto and get some cute photos.
At the Visual Arts Pavilion you can join in the Salsa class, watch how glass is blown in a live demonstration or view some of the art displayed at the exhibition gallery.
